The gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, Barr. George Ogara Tabugbo has pledged to change the infrastructural development of the state within four years of his administration.
Ogara made this known during his courtesy visit to a Chieftain of APC in Enugu State, Chief Cyril Chukwuemeka in his hometown Itchi. He said that he will comply with the unwritten rule of zoning in Enugu State. The governorship zoning formula in Enugu rotates among Enugu North, Enugu East and Enugu West.
He said, “We all know about the unwritten rule of zoning in Enugu State. Enugu East and Enugu West had produced the state Governor each for two terms. It is now time for Enugu North which our brother from the PDP has wasted four years of the first tenure without any remarkable developmental achievement in the zone.
“We can not risk our next four years in his incapacitated hand. If we do, we have to wait for the next 20 years before we expect any meaningful development in this area. I respect the zoning formula; because you can’t tell Enugu East people to wait for you to finish another four years after your zone’s eight years of leadership has elapsed. I only have four years to change this state. We can do it, because the ideas are already there. It is just to put in place the needed enabling environment for economic prosperity in the state.”
For my brother Okey Ezea, a son of this great community, I am confident of his support. He is my elder brother and we had worked together before. Our common aim in APC is change, to develop Enugu and all hands must be on desk to ensure the victory.
